Pork empanada was the best! And the rice makes it 100 times better!

I was lured by the empanadas, but ended up with a full dinner of arroz con pollo! Small dinners feature the typical choice of white or yellow rice, beans, and choice of protein. Mediums include a side. Today it was a cold "chicken pasta salad" - an interesting and flavorful take on the item that I would love to try hot. Large dinners include the above plus guineos or "sweet" plantains. I didn't get a chance to try them, but they're certainly on the agenda for my next visit. **Oh, yeah. I'm totally going back.** I had yellow rice and beans, pepper chicken and the pasta salad. The rice was flavorful, yet seasoned milder than I'm used to which should play well to the nearby lunch crowd who may be unfamiliar with the cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed the pepper chicken - breast meat cut in large chunks simmered in an, again, mild seasonings. FWIW It appears this is a new venture (5 days!) for the owner featuring his brother as the cook so perhaps the seasonings will be more pronounced once he gets settled. I look forward to seeing their evolution first-hand and truly hope they succeed.

Nice heavy plate in the area. Just ask the guy what you’re looking for and he’ll hook you up. Here’s the Pepper Steak on a bed of Spanish Rice and Beans with Mac & Cheese on the side. All for $10 bucks

I had an empanada here. I would love to try their other food. The staff was friendly. The empanada was expensive though, but we got it during the food truck expo at public market. The prices were most likely inflated because of that. I definitely would like to visit actual restaurant and give it a try. I had the pizza empanada, while those with me had Buffalo chicken one. We all liked it! We just came from the Juan and Maria one, [see my review on that one] so we were hesitant to try again...but glad we did.

We were at Harborfest at Charlotte Beach today, 0620/2025, and decided to stop at their food truck for our lunch. We shared a spinach/artichoke empanada and the maduro combo for $15. SO Yummy! Perfectly and lightly fried, very flavorful food. We will definitely make the trip to Webster to eat at their restaurant. Can't wait to try more of the food! They guys working the food truck were very friendly too.

This was our first time having the pleasure of eating here as a family, and we are beyond excited to return. I got the beef empanadas with Spanish rice and my fiancé got the fried chicken and French fries. Everything was Spectacular. We are so excited for the grand opening to be able to explore the full menu. The owner Luis was amazing and so quick having our order ready only 10 minutes after ordering. Everyone should take the time to stop in and check it out!
